Rats 

Ever seen the film " Rats: Night of Terror " ? If you're into over-the-top acting combined with ridiculous plots, you'd love it.
If you play the trailer, you'll hear a man talking very convincingly: "Rats! Man's biggest enemy."
Really?
Well, if we  imagine that were the case, what's the worst thing rats could do to you?




Did you know that if you take two rats, give them enough food, space and 2 years of time, you will end up with up to 6,000 of them? That's roughly 2040 kg.. in rat weight.



So no, don't do this experiment, even if the rats started running towards you when they saw you in an attempt to give you an affectionate tug, you'd still die.
But, in reality, taking this extreme power of reproduction that rats posses, what's the worst that could happen?
If you have a rat infestation and it stays undetected and untreated, the growing amount of rodents becomes a hazard to your household- rats like to chew on random materials, like wires for example. Bad wires -> Short circuit -> Your house catches fire
Yeah, that seems to be the worst case scenario. Also if you have a corpse lying around in the attic/basement, they might take a bite. Ruin your nice corpse. Bastards.

Spiders

With spiders, the best and the worst case scenario are the same thing.
Obviously, a spider bites you and you all of a sudden get into shape, get the girl next door, prove all your bullies wrong, and help others.
But along with power, comes great responsibility (I just had to). At the same time you see all the people you can't help in time, some of them even the ones close to you.. Man, Spiderman has it tough.
Okay, but in reality, did you know that there are over 650 different species of spiders in the UK, and 12 of them have potent venom? It's not hard to figure out what the worst case scenario is with this one.
Actually, it's a little known fact that spiders are actually never aggressive toward humans, so an open attack is pretty much out of the list. However, and here's something way creepier, imagine having one of those in your shoe, then you try to put it on, the spider gets scared and follows its instincts.. Paranoid yet? That actually is the most common way that people in Australia get spider bites.
